Java or .Net Developer / Content Researcher

We're looking for a seasoned .Net and/or Java EE developer with a capacity to learn quickly. You should have 5+ years’ experience in building large-scale enterprise applications using Eclipse/Rational Work Bench and/or Visual Studio. Ideally you have experience building plugins for either Eclipse or Visual Studio. Existing security knowledge is a strong plus, although not mandatory. Affinity / interest in learning about security is a must. You will have opportunities to present new defensive research in articles and in conferences if you desire.

Main Responsibilities:
- Overseeing Eclipse and Visual Studio IDE integration in SD Elements, including hands-on code contribution
- Working with content research team to build, expand and update secure programming standards in Java and .Net. This involves gaining tremendous knowledge in security, learning about new development frameworks very quickly, and lots of hands-on coding
- We’re a small start-up so you'll be asked to wear many hats above and beyond your core responsibilities
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Experience and ability to research and learn new development environments quickly and write working code samples without any guidance
- 5+ years Java EE or .Net experience, preferably web, mobile or rich client/server based
- Good written communication skills
- Experience with application security as a consultant/analyst/engineer extremely useful
- Experience building IDE plugins extremely useful
This position is based out of Toronto, Canada. Candidates must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
Must be based in Toronto and able to come into our downtown office. Telecommuting available two days per week.
